The method you described above has not been validated. We do not recommend that type of modifications. However, you can try these steps instead:
- Reset monitor settings to default or test with a different monitor/TV/HDMI cable.
- Reset Intel® HD Graphics default settings by pressing Ctrl Alt F8.
- Do a clean installation of the Intel® HD Graphics driver by first uninstall it from Programs and Features, restart, and then remove it from Device Manager. After another restart you can install the latest version.
- Update your system BIOS.
Remember you can test the driver provided by the system manufacturer since it was tested with your computer model.
