Use descriptive words like the default sleep state of Windows is S3, Intel's new power state is S4. It's unclear what the issue is <

Oh OK I re-read the description of the symptoms of the problem. As I understand after the computer transitions to S4 the computer turns back on again immediately. That is not the way Intel Rapid Start is supposed to behave and that could be the same question I brought up on the thread I created here.

I have been troubleshooting this for weeks I found that when all of the OC settings of the motherboard were on default/auto instead of using XMP profile or any OCing enabled Intel Rapid Start Technology did operate as desired.

  • I am sincerely looking for a resolution to this problem also.
